Necessary and sufficient conditions before applying Epoxy paint

Before construction, it is mandatory to check and evaluate the concrete condition:

Moisture:
If applying Epoxy paint Oil-based : concrete foundation moisture less than 5%.

If applying water-based epoxy paint: concrete foundation moisture is less than 8%.

If the substrate surface exceeds the allowable humidity, it is recommended to apply a layer of mortar on the substrate surface before applying epoxy paint to prevent moisture.

Mark: concrete grade must reach from 250-300 to ensure the quality of the foundation.
Surface: the concrete surface must be flat and firm to be qualified for construction.
Construction tools: concrete floor grinder, vacuum cleaner, serrated trowel, spike roller, specialized roller.
Construction method of epoxy paint for the factory floor

Step 1: cleaning the floor surface

Need to clean the concrete surface clean: remove dirt, impurities, weak porous concrete.
Do not expose to grease and other obstacles.
Step 2: Grinding floors, vacuuming and handling defects on concrete floors

Treat rough positions on the floor surface with a grinder.

Use a vacuum cleaner to suck up the dirt that has just been grinded to increase the adhesion between the paint and the concrete floor.

Use specialized mortar to seal and smooth the concave positions, cracks on the concrete floor.

Step 4: Apply epoxy paint

Apply epoxy primer
Using epoxy primer, paint 1 layer on the floor surface.
This primer will help the paint and concrete base adhere better.

Pour the paint onto the surface to be applied and use a rake to cover it evenly, then use a rubber roller to break the phot (manufacturer recommends pouring 1-3mm of topcoat).
Step 7: Acceptance and handover of the project.

After application 1-2 days can walk on the surface.
After 3-7 days heavy vehicles can move on the surface.
